Veteran Indian Chef, Lata Tondon who is currently holding the longest cooking marathon by an individual has appealed to Nigerians not to spark a rivalry between her and the Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci who has broken her record.
Lata who held the record of the longest cook-a-thon back in 2019 was dragged heavily by aggrieved Nigerians who were not pleased with Guinness World Record’s official statement.

In the toll of Hilda Baci’s influence, they took to their Twitter handle and announced that they will however review Hilda’s evidence before they will register her name even though she incredibly defeated Lata’s record with a vast margin.
Their words:
“We are aware of this amazing record attempt, we need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record”.
Reacting to the heated pressure, Lata sincerely appealed to Nigerians to forgo rivalry and further outlined that she is peacefully willing to congratulate the Nigerian young Gem if she is eventually crowned the new champion.
Her words:
“A Humble Request to all my Sisters and Brothers in Nigeria■ & India ➡to maintain peace and wait for Guinness to officially announce if the Current Record is broken or not.”
“Please don’t make it a Competition it’s just a Record my friends. I am a Peace loving Person and wish same for you.”
Some Nigerians were still not pleased and heavily lambasted her via her social media handles.
