With Season 2 of Squid Game approaching, Netflix has decided it’s time to give us a preview of the upcoming survival game series as it released the official teaser for the upcoming season of its popular series, which will premiere on December 26.
Netflix published a video about the upcoming release on YouTube earlier in the week, stating, “There’s no stopping the game.”
Three years after the conclusion of the previous game, the next instalment of the dystopian Korean drama, once again written, directed and produced by Hwang Dong-hyuk, will start.
As the game-winning Player 456, “who gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind,” South Korean actor Lee Jung-Jae, who won one of the six Emmys for the series starring role as Gi-hun, will make a comeback, according to the synopsis.

Wi Ha-joon will play infiltrating investigator Hwang Jun-ho, while Lee Byung-hun will play a disguised frontman who oversees the game and pulls all the strings, leaving Gong Yoo to play the role of a sharp-suited salesperson who gets fresh members for the high-stakes competition.
After Squid Game, Netflix’s largest series, debuted in 2021, becoming an international sensation. The streaming service said in July that the third season, which is scheduled for 2025, will be the final one.
