Amidst the massive effect of the Osun state Governorship election, The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has further sparked flames after they announced the winner.
The battle between the two electoral candidates, Gboyega Oyetola and Ademola Adeleke from the two top Political parties, The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressive Party (APC) caught massive attention and what seemed to be pandemonium.

This was prompted by the massive view of concerned citizens who came out to cast their votes for their favourite candidate among the two contestants.
Among these concerned Citizens, the sensational Afrobeat singer, Davido emerged to be the base of attraction following how he caused massive traffic while campaigning for his uncle Ademola Adeleke.
After making top-notch headlines, INEC via a professional vote counting announced Ademola Adeleke as the winner.
PDP polled a total of 402,979 votes after winning 17 out of the 30 local government areas in the state.
The All Progressives Congress, Gboyega Oyetola, won the remaining 13 local government areas with a total of 375,077 votes.
Even before INEC’s last announcement, Davido had stormed his Twitter handle and announced a positive take on the election declaring PDP as the winner.
The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari also congratulated him and applauded Nigerians for condoning a peaceful democratic election.
In his words, he said:
“I congratulate Senator Ademola Adeleke, candidate of the Peopleβs Democratic Party (PDP), on his victory in the Osun gubernatorial election. The people of Osun have expressed their will through the ballot.”
