After the Nigerian aircraft was initially seized and released in France, the Chinese firm Zhongshang Fucheng Industrial Investment Ltd, which was involved in the controversial seizure, seized another Nigerian jet in Canada. The initial seizure included three aircraft and other assets in other countries.
The recent seizure came after the three presidential aircraft were ordered seized by the Reach court in a judgement that favoured Hongshan Fucheng; the disagreement came after the company had a dispute with the government of Ogun state.
After the disagreement, it decided to release one of the presidential jects to the government, which would enable the president to travel to France after a meeting was scheduled between the two nations’ presidents. The chinease company stated that the release was out of good will and kind gesture.

The Superior Court of Quebec on March 21st was disarmed the attempt by the Nigerian government to retain the ownership of the Bombardier 6000 jet. According to records, the jet was bought at $57m by Dan Etete
