The President of Haiti, Jovenel Moise was recently assassinated at his private home in Haiti by unknown men heavily armed.
Reports from the office of interim Prime Minister of Haiti, Claude Joseph, confirmed that the president was killed in the night by masked men who spoke Spanish.

In his words, he said:
“He was fatally wounded by a group of unidentified men, some of whom were speaking Spanish”
“Police and armed forces are in control of the situation, and all measures are taken to guarantee the continuity of the State and protect the Nation”.
The Gunmen invaded his home around 1 am on Wednesday and attacked him to death. His wife was also wounded in the attack.
“There was an attempt on my life. That plan was aborted” he added.
According to Wikipedia, Haiti is a Caribbean country that shares the island of Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic to its east.
