The Nigerian award-winning rapper, Olamide who is known for his extraordinary qualities amidst rapping with great skills has vowed that depression pushed him in becoming a drug and alcohol addict.
This was revealed in one of his rapping songs after he made it so emotional with the point: “I have to move on”
He recalled the death of his family and the struggle in the past as the key depression he has.
According to his rapping, he said:
“Mo dye irun mi ni yellow mo tun dye e si green many thought it was fashion but i was loosing my mind… Mo den ma n fagbo moju, moti moju, mo de man ronu moju.. Gbogbo kirakita ati ikanju ti mo kanju, mommy ati daddy ti lo mhen omo mo need lati sanju.”
Which is translated in English as:
“I smoked and drank alcohol every night, I had thoughts every night. All my struggles and rush, my parents are gone and I just have to move on with life.”
