A popular Nigerian journalist identified as Joey Akan has opined that the Nigerian biggest star, Wizkid was once unrecognised to the extent that he moves from studio to studio to beg for time off from their schedules so he could record his verse.
He made this revelation via his social media handle where he labelled that the singer has come a long way to his limelight.

He further narrated that he would wait for people who couldn’t use their paid studio session and scramble out meaning out of it.
In his words, he said:
“When Wizkid didn’t have money to record, he hung around the studio at Knighthouse, waiting for people to pay for sessions and not use the entire slot.”
“When he could get lucky, he used it. That’s how he could get any time on the mic. That’s the foundation of his studio time.”
