The Nigerian human rights activist, Reno Omokri has taken to his Twitter handle to nurture his followers with the knowledge of marriage.
According to his claim, he vowed that grooms of any marital status owe no one explanation about the view of their brides.

According to the African culture, Grooms is meant to introduce their brides to their relatives or friend for commends. If there are enormous negative commends, the marriage may likely quench.
The Nigerian award-winning author has publicly condemned such beliefs and urged men to forgone bad commends from relatives on their grooms.
In his words, he said:
“Why must you explain why you want to marry someone to anybody, whether family or friend? Marriage is not a family business or a joint partnership with friends. You owe no one an explanation. If they attend the wedding, give them rice. If they don’t, let them ride!”
“Only a fool marries someone because their family and or friends like the person. You are the one who will wear the shoe, so, get your size, not their size. Scripture says “if a man finds a wife”-Proverbs 18:22. It does not say ‘if a family finds a wife”
