The Nigerian president, Mohammadu Buhari has disclosed that Nigeria cannot afford the basic fund needed to revive education in Nigeria.
He revealed this shock speaking at the 49th convocation ceremony of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN on Saturday.
He revealed that he is very optimistic over the growth of Nigeria_ promised that his administration will provide additional resources to improve funding for the educational system.
He also added that although his administration has done so much to eradicate the poor masses, several Nigerians are get to beat penury.

“I am optimistic that the on-going drive to diversify the national economy will provide the government with additional resources to improve funding for the education system”
“We must also address the problems of poor work ethics and the albatross of prolonged and recurrent industrial actions by staff of universities”
“Our universities must continue to emphasise training in entrepreneurship so school leavers and graduates are able to become job creators instead of perennial job seekers”
“Although, the current administration has introduced several programmes to help eradicate poverty, such as Transport Track for individuals who were into the transportation business, several Nigerians are yet to be lifted out of poverty.”
