It was also believed that the singer was caught up in his sins and had to surrender himself at the police headquarters in Abuja.
The singer had diverted thousands of naira reserved by the federal government for the N-Power project and an empowerment programme set up to deal with youth unemployment in 2016.
Before being detained, any time he was invited by the federal government to account for an alleged fraud he would excuse it with his private schedules.
According to explorers, the stipend meant for the ghost beneficiaries of the scheme was strictly redirected to accounts that they have now confirmed allegedly been linked to the Nigerian singer, D’Banj.
After the singer had failed to account severally for his alleged fraud, the Federal Government launched a manhunt for him intending to apprehend him either in Nigeria or abroad.
This forced D’Banj to submit himself and verged for instant bail which has been currently rejected as the saga continues to trail via all the social media platforms.
