Afrobeat young talent, Divine Ikubor who is popularly known as Rema has laid his utterances on the nature of relationships in Nigeria.
The ‘Calm Down’ crooner who spoke in the recent interview hosted by i-D Meets podcast voiced out his displeasure with the motive of relationships in Nigeria.

Even though he said he can’t define love amid how everyone lives on their own perspective he pointed out his song lyrics that explained that ‘love is not a source of income’
In general, he labelled that love in Nigeria to date is all about financial gains.
His words:
“My favourite lyric in my album [is] ‘Love is not a source of income’. It came from my actual experience. A lot of relationships in our new generation is just really all about the gains.”
“It’s painful that I can’t really define love. You’ve to live your own version. I have not lived my version. I’m waiting for it though.”
